Fall Maryland Courthouse Elopement
Kristin & Nick
We love a courthouse elopement! I met up with Kristin, Nick, and their close families at the Towson, MD Courthouse on a beautiful fall afternoon. During their intimate ceremony, you couldn't find a dry eye. After Kristin and Nick said their 'I Do's' and the bubbles were blown, we walked together down the street to the garden to take a few couple portraits, and enjoy the beautiful weather. We then drove over to Sherwood Gardens in Baltimore to take family photos in a gorgeous garden, all to ourselves. After family portraits, we had time for a few more garden couple portraits then we headed to Nacho Mama's!
Kristin told me before their elopement she just wanted a margarita cheers and something fun after a beautiful ceremony..and that's what she got!
Nacho Mama's had margaritas flowing, Elvis statues, and all you can eat tacos..basically all you'd ever want for a mid-week elopement. The group cheered to the new couple We snuck away for a few quick portraits with Elvis, margs In hand, before the day was over.
Tips for Planning Your Mid-Week Elopement
1. Make sure your photographer knows how you envision your day! If portraits with you and your boo at a few locations are the most Important to you, let them know! Certain family members you want them to photograph? If you've spent a lot of time planning your outfits, have your photographer come early to get all of your details!
2. Make a lunch or dinner reservation at somewhere fun a cool for pictures! Something colorful and kitschy, moody and velvet, or even bright and palm trees. Go with whatever is your vibe!
3. Just because you're eloping, doesn't mean you can't have a full day! As an elopement photographer, I've spent 3 hours with a couple eloping, 8 hours, or even a full weekend! Rent an AirBnB and invite your closest family and friends and have your photographer document it! Go camping in the middle of the dessert and go horse back riding and have a dinner under the stars. From your local courthouse to a destination elopement, it's all up to you!
